Turquoise Waterfall

 A classic bottle vase in dark burnished clay. The specks of iron from the “earth” are visible through the transparency of the cascading blues in the glaze. You can see rivulets of water in this mixture of glaze. The elusiveness of capturing “water in movement” has obsessed artists over the centuries.

This glaze combination has taken me 6 years to develop. And I am still thrilled when I open the kiln and see waterfalls trickling down my work.
